Favoritism In Church

with No Comments

An unfortunate incident happened in the life of a student from India studying in London. Seriously intrigue by his reading of the Gospels, he thought that maybe, Roman Catholicism might offer a workable solution to the caste system that was dividing his people socially, economically and politically.

Invited by a schoolmate to join him in Sunday Mass, the Indian student arrived in his best national attire. Unfortunately, his schoolmate was late. So, the Indian student decided to enter the church by himself. The church was already full and almost about to start. The usher marched the Indian student to the front and since all the seats were already taken, asked him to sit on the floor by the right hand side of the altar.

After the mass, the schoolmate sought his Indian friend and asked, “How did you like the mass?” The Indian student replied,

“If the Catholics also have a caste system, I might as well remain a Hindu.
I like your Christ but I do not like your Catholics.”

To be Christ like, we must ~ “Walk The Talk.”
